As a committed learner of leadership I have found myself sneaking into the world of health science discovering how to be a better leader. Leadership is this weird dynamic relationship between two or more living human beings. Us humans are complex. That complexity demands respect (read: understanding) if us leaders are to be effective.
The human body was created incredibly complex. What we feed it, how we move it, how we rest it, and more, all contribute to our physical health. Health determines the quantity and quality of our lives. I’m not saying that unhealthy people aren’t ever happy, but they often don’t live as long and they are often more sick.
There is a difference between healthy and unhealthy leaders. The health of our leadership determines the results of our leadership. I’m not saying that unhealthy leaders won’t produce results, but their results often don’t last as long and are often more unreliable.
